Appointing Volume Editors
The conference organizer should establish a dedicated team (Publication Committee) to oversee the manuscript process, from submission to publication. This includes communication with contributing authors and managing the peer review process. It is essential that this team operates effectively and efficiently. As part of this team, the organizer must appoint at least two volume editors, who will be responsible for collecting, conducting peer reviews, selecting papers, and compiling them into the proceedings to be submitted to us. When appointing volume editors, the following considerations should be ensured:
- Volume editors must not be affiliated with the editorial board of any questionable publishers or journals.
- Volume editors should be senior faculty members who are also part of the conference organizing committee.
- Volume editors must be fully aware of their tasks and responsibilities. They should be familiar with the guidelines for editors and authors.
- Volume editors should take time to thoroughly understand their responsibilities and ensure clear communication of instructions to the authors.
